We are currently seeking a skilled Laundry Supervisor to oversee the operations of our laundry department.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring high-quality standards.Coordinate the work of laundry staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.Co-ordinate Picks up and deliveries as necessary.Ensures that any ironing/pressing of garments is done.Ensure all dirty linen is separated and counted before going out for cleaning.Assists in inventories and in stock-taking.Performs any alterations needed.Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely.Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.Maintain accurate records of laundry activities, including cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.The Ideal Candidate Will:Have similar experience in a commercial laundry or experience in a four/five-star hotel in a supervisory role within the laundry department.Be fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.Have sewing knowledge and be capable of performing minor garment alterations.Have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.Be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.Be flexible with working hours, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.Have a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.Be a team player with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.Be computer literate – basic ECDL knowledgeWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity for career growth and development.Supportive and friendly work environment.
