We are currently seeking a Tool Maker to join our Tooling department (CNC Milling machines).Duties and ResponsibilitiesManual work on rubber / plastic moulds.Be able to operate 3-Axis / 5-axis machine without supervision.Be able to interpret standard / complex tooling drawings.To manufacture complex components and moulds, both O-rings and gaskets with minor supervision.Ensure that all tools are manufactured in the most efficient way while respecting specified tolerances.Be able to follow and respect thoroughly the process of tooling manufacture.Be able to inspect and guarantee the quality of parts produced.Ensure that the CNC milling machine is utilised efficiently as much as possible.Liaise with the Manager to carry out the tasks effectively and according to the planning schedule.To assist within the toolroom area as indicated and when required.To have problem-solving skills and be able to go to the production area and assess problems related to our moulds or other ancillaries.Qualifications and SkillsNational Diploma (or equivalent) in Manufacturing / Operations and Maintenance or specialisation in several areas within Toolroom and / or have basic experience with tooling and their relative service needs.Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.Knowledge of CAD and CAM software will be an asset.Skill in root cause analysis and problem solving.Team player with stature, drive, and persuasive skills to secure a cohesive approach to customers.Collaborative and able to optimise different agendas, this person will have excellent motivational, communication and presentation skills.Great attendance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.

The role of the Toolmaker is to carry out maintenance on tools used in injection moulding machines to ensure that production from such equipment meets the required quality standards.The role of the Toolmaker is to carry out maintenance on tools used in injection moulding machines to ensure that production from such equipment meets the required quality standards.DutiesResponsible for repairing tooling and perform major maintenance/ rebuilding of existing production tooling as per engineering drawings and production requirements.Operate all standard Toolroom machinery including grinding, milling, lathe turning and EDM.Knowledge and experience with using all types of measuring tools (Micrometer, Caliper, depth and slip gauges, etc.).Able to use Metric & English systems of measurement.Undertake any other duties as necessary to fulfil the needs of the job and its objective as and when requested by the Tool Room Manager / Toolroom Coordinator.Have the ability to use the overhead crane safely.Work on any of the production sites as and when required.Assist in the training of apprentices and students as required.Have a high enough skill level to complete polishing repair tasks.Assist in the continuous improvement ideas for making tooling more reliable.Providing training to other employees.Qualifications, Experience, RequirementsSkilled in mechanical engineering, preferably possessing relevant technical qualification (minimum BTEC Diploma in manufacturing engineering / City & Guilds technical diploma or equivalent) at MQF level 4.CNC and CAD/CAM experiencePrevious experience in a similar position would definitely be an asset but is not essential, as in-house training will be provided.Able to work under own initiative, have the ability to solve day-to-day tooling issues and be able to work to tight deadlines.Willing to work on a 3-shift basis and overtime as required.We offer and opportunity toWork in a fast-growing company that has a global presence through its continuous investment.Work in a new and modern environment.Receive training and be provided with learning and development opportunities.
