The Dishwasher plays a fundamental role in maintaining kitchen efficiency, sanitation, and safety.

Dishwashing & Warewashing: Load, operate, and unload commercial dishwashing machines; manually scrub, wash, and sanitize pots, pans, sheet trays, and delicate kitchen tools using three-compartment sinks. Organization & Storage: Sort, dry, and neatly stack clean dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking equipment in designated storage locations across the kitchen and service stations. Station Setup & Chemical Safety: Monitor dishwashing machine temperatures and water levels; safely handle, replace, and store commercial cleaning chemicals and detergents per safety guidelines. Kitchen Cleanliness: Sweep and mop kitchen floors, clean walls and drainage grates, wipe down prep counters, and maintain a spotless dish pit area throughout the shift. Waste Management: Collect and empty trash, recycling, and organic compost bins regularly; wash out bins and keep waste disposal areas clean and odor-free. Stock & Unloading Support: Assist with receiving, inspecting, unloading, and organizing inventory items in walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage rooms using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards.
