Carthage Foods Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Cuisine to manage and oversee the daily operations of its kitchen and ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes.

JOB VACANCY: CHEF DE CUISINE Employment type: Full-time Annual gross salary: €50,000 Proposed starting date: 1 November 2026 We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Cuisine to manage and oversee the daily operations of its kitchen and ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes. Main duties and responsibilities: * Manage and supervise all daily kitchen operations. * Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard. * Develop menus and standardise recipes, portions and presentation. * Supervise, train and coordinate kitchen personnel. * Prepare staff schedules and organise kitchen shifts. * Monitor food quality, stock levels, food costs and wastage. * Order ingredients and liaise with approved suppliers. * Ensure proper storage, labelling and rotation of food products. * Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation. * Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements. * Work closely with management to maintain service quality and control operating costs. * Be available to work weekends, public holidays and flexible shifts according to the operational requirements of the catering establishment. Requirements: * Previous experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Head Chef or in a comparable senior kitchen position. * Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation and menu planning. * Demonstrated leadership and staff-management skills. * Good understanding of food hygiene and HACCP principles. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. * Relevant culinary qualifications or professional training will be considered an asset. * A valid food-handling certificate or willingness to obtain the required certification.
