We are looking for a Group Accountant / Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team and take ownership of key accounting and financial activities across multiple entities within the Group.

This is a hands-on senior finance role offering the opportunity to work closely with the Group Financial Controller, CFO, Directors, auditors and operational teams, while also overseeing and supporting members of the Accounts team.

💼 What You'll Be Doing

📊 Financial Accounting & Reporting

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Review general ledgers, trial balances, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
Support Group consolidation and the annual audit process.
Produce financial reports for management and other stakeholders.

📈 Analysis, Budgeting & Business Support

Support budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
Analyse actual vs. budgeted performance and investigate variances.
Identify financial trends, risks and opportunities.
Analyse costs, profitability and COGS across products and services.
Provide valuable financial insights to support business decisions.

💰 Cash Flow & Working Capital

Monitor cash flow across the entities under your responsibility.
Prepare and present regular cash flow reports.
Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Help develop effective payment and cash flow management processes.

🔍 Audit, Tax & Compliance

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT and tax requirements.
Work closely with external auditors and support tax return preparation.
Assist senior management with tax planning and financial matters.
Ensure financial processes remain compliant with relevant legislation.

🔄 Group Accounting & Internal Controls

Manage and reconcile intercompany balances.
Develop and maintain recharge policies and models.
Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting.

👥 Team & Stakeholder Management

Oversee and support Accounts Executives and other accounting personnel.
Work closely with the Group Financial Controller, CFO and Directors.
Collaborate with operational departments to ensure accurate financial information.
Liaise with banks, auditors, external providers and other key stakeholders.

⭐ What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is analytical, commercially minded and ready to take ownership.

Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience as a Group Accountant, Senior Accountant, Senior Accounts Executive or similar.
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
Experience with management accounts, budgeting and financial analysis.
Knowledge of VAT, tax and audit processes.
Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
The ability to manage priorities and work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach and willingness to identify ways to improve processes.
