The group currently operates across several sectors and continues to add new businesses to its portfolio. Our finance function supports both our internal group companies and a growing portfolio of outsourced accounting clients.

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious General & Purchasing Clerk to join our Valletta-based team. This is a hands-on position with genuine scope to develop into a more senior role as the group and finance function continue to grow.

The Role

Working closely with the internal finance team, the successful candidate will support purchasing, accounting and general administrative activities across both group companies and outsourced accounting clients.

You will report directly to the Group Finance Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing and processing purchase orders;
Liaising with suppliers and following up on orders and deliveries;
Checking supplier invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation;
Processing invoices and other accounting records;
Assisting with supplier reconciliations and payment preparation;
Maintaining accurate purchasing, accounting and supplier records;
Supporting bookkeeping and general accounting work for internal companies and outsourced clients;
Monitoring outstanding items and resolving discrepancies;
Providing general administrative support to the finance and operational teams;
Helping improve and standardise accounting and purchasing processes;
Using AI, automation and other digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive work.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in purchasing, bookkeeping, accounting administration or a similar role;
Is proficient in both written and spoken English and Maltese;
Has experience using Sage or a similar accounting system;
Is comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other office software;
Is proactive, motivated and ready to take ownership of their work;
Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
Can manage several priorities and follow tasks through to completion;
Is confident communicating with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders;
Is interested in using AI and technology to work more efficiently;
Is ambitious and interested in progressing into a more senior position over time.
a diploma or qualification in accounting or a related field is an advantage with the interest to pursue their studies further in the future.

Experience within logistics, hospitality, outsourced accounting or a multi-company environment would be considered an advantage.
