VACANCY — JUNIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Infinite Fusion is looking for a Junior Procurement Officer to join our team.

We are looking for an organised, motivated and responsible individual who will support the company with purchasing, supplier coordination, quotations, orders and deliveries.

This is a junior position, and previous procurement experience is an advantage but is not essential. Training and guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Quotations

Request quotations from local and international suppliers.

Compare supplier prices, availability and delivery times.

Prepare simple price comparison sheets.

Follow up with suppliers for quotations and information.

Assist in identifying alternative suppliers when required.

Support the team in obtaining competitive prices.

Purchase Orders

Prepare and process purchase orders.

Send confirmed orders to suppliers.

Check that order details, quantities and prices are correct.

Maintain proper records of purchase orders and supplier quotations.

Follow internal approval procedures before placing orders.

Supplier Coordination

Communicate with suppliers by email and telephone.

Follow up on outstanding quotations and orders.

Confirm expected delivery dates.

Follow up when deliveries are late.

Keep the relevant team members informed about the status of their orders.

Deliveries & Logistics

Coordinate with the company's logistics team for supplier collections and deliveries.

Track incoming orders.

Confirm when materials are ready for collection.

Assist with coordinating international shipments when required.

Ensure the correct project or department receives the ordered material.

Procurement Administration

Maintain organised digital records of quotations, orders and supplier information.

Update procurement systems and order statuses.

Assist with matching supplier quotations, purchase orders and invoices.

Maintain and update the company's supplier database.

Support the Procurement and Operations teams with day-to-day requirements.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should be:

Organised and able to follow tasks until they are completed.

Comfortable communicating with suppliers.

Confident using a computer, email and Microsoft Office.

Comfortable working with Excel.

Able to compare prices and perform basic calculations.

Able to manage several requests at the same time.

Responsible and attentive to detail.

Willing to learn.

Comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.

Able to work as part of a team.

Able to communicate effectively in English.

Requirements

Good written and spoken English.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and email.

Good organisational skills.

Basic numerical skills.

Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers.

Previous experience in purchasing, administration, logistics, stores or a similar role is considered an advantage but is not essential.

Training will be provided to the selected candidate.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start and develop a career in procurement.

The Junior Procurement Officer will initially work under guidance and will gradually learn how to manage purchasing requirements from the initial request through to quotation, approval, ordering and delivery.

The role requires someone who does not simply send an order and forget about it. We are looking for a person who will follow each request until the material or service has been successfully delivered.
