Our client, operating within the transportation sector, is seeking to recruit a Senior HR Coordinator.

Forming part of the Engineering team, this role represents the Human Resources function within Engineering. The role holder shall be the main point of contact for all the employees and the management of the Engineering department related to Human Resources matters such as recruitment, administration and any other HR task associated with the workshop. The aim of this role is to manage the HR function within the workshop whilst maintaining relationships across the other HR team members, management, employees and with external stakeholders to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

Responsible of coordinating the recruitment process (for internal and external vacancies) of approved vacancies, more specifically:
Ensure job descriptions are up to date in consultation with the department manager.
Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
Schedule interviews in coordination with the department manager and attend interviews with the department manager.
Support in the onboarding of new employees in order to become fully integrated.
Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports as required.
Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process such as the collection of documents for third country nationals.
Coordinate the onboarding process of new employees including induction.
Handle the daily HR administration processes including engagements, terminations, tasks related to work permit processes and renewals, ID card process and renewal, sick leave, and injuries on duty.
Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, employment law, as well as the company’s collective agreement.
Act as a main point of contact to all Engineering employees and support with queries. Update Department Manager as well as Recruitment and Administration Manager with concerns or opportunities to engage employees, increase motivation levels and suggestion for improvement.
Coordinate a training needs analysis process and coordinate the required learning and development initiatives for all Engineering employees.
Support with employee welfare issues when and where it is reasonably possible.
Support with the coordination of the performance management system.
Coordinate team building activities and other events for Engineering employees
Support with handling all disciplinary issues.
Ensure that employee records through internal and external HR related systems, Maximo and Spectrum are in line with internal processes.
Issue weekly/biweekly and monthly reports as required.
Handle any other task or project assigned by the management.
Any other duties related to the job position that may be required depending on the exigencies of the business at the time.

Requirements

Minimum of two years’ working experience in an HR role.
Ideally holds an A level standard of education.
Knowledge of Employment law will be considered an asset.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.
