Pharmaceutical Specialist

Our client looking to recruit Pharmaceutical Specialist to join their growing team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the chosen candidate will:

Scientific Detailing & Clinical Promotion

• Promote and detail ethical pharmaceutical and healthcare products to healthcare professionals (GPs, hospital/private specialists, pharmacists, and clinic managers).
• Deliver compelling one-to-one clinical discussions and conduct structured group presentations, lunch-and-learns, or clinical meetings.
• Communicate complex scientific data, clinical indications, and therapeutic advantages clearly and ethically.

Stakeholder Relationship Management & Territory Coverage

• Establish, nurture, and expand long-term professional networks across private practices, public healthcare centers, clinics, and pharmacies in Malta and Gozo.
• Maintain a disciplined, structured field-visiting schedule to ensure regular coverage and visibility across all designated medical territories.
• Provide prompt, professional responses to clinical queries, technical documentation requests, and product inquiries.

Commercial Growth & Market Intelligence

• Drive sales volume and market share targets through strategic territorial planning and key-account targeting.
• Monitor competitor activity, new product launches, pricing shifts, and evolving treatment guidelines across the local market.
• Execute brand marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, and educational initiatives aligned with supplier and company objectives.

arket Research & Inventory Alignment

• Gather on-the-ground intelligence regarding prescribing trends, emerging customer demands, and formulary considerations.
• Provide timely market feedback to internal sales and supply chain teams to support accurate demand forecasting and stock replenishment.
• Maintain up-to-date CRM records, call logs, and customer interaction histories to support commercial reporting.

Requirements

• Ability to assimilate technical pharmacology data rapidly and translate clinical evidence into persuasive commercial conversations.
• High emotional intelligence, professional presence, and exceptional presentation skills.

Education and Experience

• Must hold a Degree in Pharmacy.
• Proven experience as a Medical Representative, Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, or Healthcare Detailing Specialist in the Maltese healthcare sector.
