Role Overview

Heroix is collaborating with our Client to recruit a Sales Representative who will build professional relationships with medical practitioners and introduce them to a varied portfolio of pharmaceutical, dermatology and medical technology solutions. The position is suited to a commercially minded healthcare professional who can communicate scientific information clearly, recognise business opportunities and contribute to the successful development of assigned product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Professional Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with physicians, consultants, pharmacy professionals and other decision-makers across public and private healthcare settings.
Product Education: Present clear, reliable and scientifically supported information about the Business’s medicines, dermatological solutions and medical technologies.
Territory Planning: Structure appointments, visits and daily activities efficiently to achieve agreed commercial priorities and maintain consistent market coverage.
Product Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of the assigned portfolio by reviewing relevant clinical information, market developments and applicable regulatory requirements.
Marketing Resources: Prepare, update and manage suitable materials to support professional discussions, presentations and promotional initiatives.
Business Development: Observe market activity, identify potential areas for expansion and share useful commercial insights with the relevant internal stakeholders.
Launch Support: Coordinate with colleagues in sales and commercial functions to assist with the introduction and market positioning of new products.
Professional Development: Participate in relevant learning activities to remain informed about portfolio changes, healthcare developments and industry requirements.
Additional Duties: Undertake other reasonable responsibilities allocated by the Head of Commercial Strategy in line with business needs.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Education: A university qualification in pharmacy, medicine, science or another discipline relevant to healthcare is required.
Experience: Candidates should have at least three years of relevant professional experience, ideally involving medical products, pharmaceuticals, healthcare solutions or a related commercial field.
Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
Driving Licence: Applicants must hold a clean and current Maltese driving licence.
Communication Skills: The ability to explain medical and technical information confidently, accurately and appropriately to different professional audiences is essential.
Presentation and Negotiation: Strong presentation and influencing abilities are required to communicate product value and develop productive commercial relationships.
Interpersonal Skills: A professional, approachable manner and the ability to build credibility with healthcare practitioners, colleagues and other stakeholders are important.
Technical Skills: Candidates must be comfortable learning scientific product information and developing a sound understanding of relevant market and regulatory matters.
Organisation: Excellent planning and time-management abilities are needed to coordinate appointments, prioritise territory activity and meet performance objectives.
Teamwork: The successful candidate must be equally comfortable managing responsibilities independently and cooperating with colleagues across the Business.
Self-Motivated: A proactive attitude, strong commercial drive and commitment to achieving agreed outcomes are essential.
Problem-Solving: The ability to assess market needs, recognise opportunities and respond constructively to professional or commercial challenges is required.
