Dar ta' San Guzepp is a boy's residential home in Sta Venera who assist in the boy's overall daily well-being. The Home welcomes a maximum of 15 boys divided in 3 flats according to the ages.

Fondazzjoni Dar Ta' San Guzepp in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Social Worker (residetnial) to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role: Residential Social Worker

Duties would involve:

Provide daily support to residents in a home, shelter, or care facility
Conduct individual assessments to identify social, emotional, and practical needs
Develop personalised care plans and monitor progress
Offer counselling, guidance, and crisis intervention when required
Support residents in developing life skills (communication, budgeting, hygiene, routines)
Facilitate group activities, workshops, and therapeutic sessions
Advocate for residents’ rights, wellbeing, and access to services
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (psychologists, nurses, educators, social services)
Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation
Assist residents with external appointments (medical, legal, educational)
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive living environment
Manage conflict and behavioural challenges using de‑escalation techniques
Support transitions such as reunification, independent living, or community reintegration
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and regulatory standards
Engage families, guardians, or external agencies when appropriate
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
Contribute to the development of house rules, routines, and structured programmes
It would be a plus if the applicant has a driver's license.
Applicant must speak and understand Maltese very well.
