MJE Solutions Limited is looking for a dynamic and flexible Print Shop Assistant to join our Operations Team.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, is willing to learn and is comfortable working across different shop locations according to operational needs.

About the Job

The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day operations of our print shops and production team.

The role includes serving and assisting walk-in customers, understanding their printing requirements, supporting the production and finishing of print jobs, preparing customer orders and helping ensure that work is completed accurately and on time.

This position requires flexibility, as the successful applicant may be rostered to work in different company shop locations depending on staffing and operational requirements.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, adaptable, reliable and practical, with a positive approach to work and a willingness to support the team wherever needed.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Serve and assist walk-in customers with their printing and stationery requirements.
Advise customers on suitable printing options and services.
Assist with the production and finishing of printing jobs.
Prepare, check, pack and organise completed customer orders.
Follow job instructions and production requirements carefully.
Carry out basic quality checks to ensure work is completed correctly.
Update job sheets, tickets and order systems as required.
Communicate clearly with colleagues regarding completed, delayed or unclear jobs.
Report mistakes, production issues or unclear instructions promptly.
Help maintain an organised, clean and efficient working environment.
Support colleagues across the Operations Team during busy periods.
Work flexibly across different company shop locations according to operational requirements.
Learn and assist with different printing processes, equipment and services.
Use working time productively and take initiative when assigned tasks are completed.
Follow company procedures, policies and service standards.

Educational and Skill Requirements

Good standard of secondary education.
Good spoken and written English.
Maltese will be considered an asset.
Basic computer literacy.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to read and follow job instructions carefully.
Good attention to detail.
Practical and hands-on approach to work.
Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexible attitude and willingness to work in different shop locations.
Willingness to learn new products, systems, equipment and processes.
Reliable, punctual and responsible approach to work.

Previous experience in printing, production, retail, customer service or a similar environment will be considered an asset, but the right attitude, flexibility and willingness to learn are equally important.
