Junior Auditor

As our firm continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Junior Auditor to join our dynamic Audit and Assurance team. You will support partners in delivering high-quality audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including international companies in financial services and other private enterprises. This role provides exposure to a variety of industries and the chance to develop both your technical skills and client-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assist audit seniors and managers in completing annual statutory external audits for a portfolio of clients.
Prepare audit files and perform audit testing in accordance with International Standards on Auditing
Support analytical reviews and assist in identifying and resolving technical accounting issues.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of audit documentation and working papers.
Support the preparation of financial statements under both GAPSME and IFRS.
Carry out basic accounting and administrative tasks during quieter periods.
Assist in documenting audit findings and preparing clear summaries for review by senior team members.
Support the planning and coordination of audit engagements to ensure timely completion.
Work under supervision while learning to review and improve the quality of audit work.
Build professional relationships with clients by providing responsive and reliable support under guidance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent qualification) or currently progressing towards full qualification.
1–2 years’ relevant external audit experience in Malta
Good knowledge of IFRS, GAPSME, and auditing standards.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in English and Maltese
