Euroclub Hotel is a well-established 3-star hotel in the heart of Qawra, committed to providing excellent service and value to our guests. We are currently seeking an organised, proactive and commercially minded Storekeeper and Purchasing Manager to join our team.

This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring that all hotel departments receive the right products at the right time, while maintaining accurate stock control and achieving the best value through effective purchasing.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel's stores, purchasing activities, supplier relationships and inventory control systems. Working closely with the General Manager, Heads of Department and Accounts department, you will ensure that stock levels are maintained efficiently whilst controlling costs and minimising waste.

Main Responsibilities

Manage the hotel's central stores and maintain accurate inventory records.
Receive, inspect and verify deliveries against purchase orders and supplier invoices.
Ensure all goods received meet the required quality and quantity standards.
Organise the safe storage, rotation and distribution of stock in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and identify replenishment requirements.
Source products and negotiate competitive pricing and favourable terms with suppliers.
Obtain quotations and recommend purchasing decisions based on quality, price and reliability.
Prepare and issue purchase orders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Conduct regular stock takes and investigate inventory discrepancies.
Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock and recommend corrective action.
Work closely with the Kitchen, Bar, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Front Office departments to anticipate operational requirements.
Prepare inventory, purchasing and cost-control reports for management.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health and safety regulations where applicable.
Assist in developing purchasing procedures and improving inventory management processes.
Support budgeting and cost control initiatives.

Requirements

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, stores management or inventory control.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using inventory or purchasing software will be considered an asset.
Good command of English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
A positive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience within the hospitality industry would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of hotel purchasing and stock control procedures.
Experience with food and beverage inventory management.
Understanding of HACCP procedures and stock rotation principles.
