Project Manager

Overseeing and coordinating ship repair projects during dry-dock maintenance, ensuring that works are carried out according to specifications, project schedules, safety standards and quality requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent the company in his technical capacity.
• Check and review estimates prepared by Commercial Officers in accordance with customers' specifications and ensure that work complies with company requirements.
• Study job specifications and technical requirements, delegate jobs to Engineers and plan manpower for the assigned jobs.
• Inspect work carried out and advise the Yard Manager when a project is ready for final inspection by the owner's representative/class surveyor.
• Raise and approve issue passes for materials required for the jobs.
• Report work progress daily to the client's representative and respective Department Head, report technical problems beyond his technical capacity or authority to the respective Department Head and ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are complied with.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
• Possess work experience as a Project Engineer/Manager in ship repair, drydock and shipbuilding in a shipyard.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Experience Required:

Must have at least a minimum of two (2) years of experience in ship repair works supervision and other shipyard-related activities.
