Position Overview

To assist in the smooth processing of customs documentation and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage import and export documentation

Accurately input data into customs clearance systems

Ensure all customs procedures are followed in compliance with regulatory requirements

Track and monitor the progress of customs documentation.

Liaise with internal departments to provide updates on customs clearance documentation status

Coordinate with customs authorities

Maintain organised records of customs documents

Assist in resolving any customs-related issues

Prepare reports on customs activities if requested

Ensure that the shipments’ log sheet is regularly and correctly updated

Provide administrative support to the Customs Clearance team

Qualifications and Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and maintain clear documentation

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues

Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving results

Self-motivated and disciplined, with a strong sense of initiative and a “can-do” attitude.

Excellent time management and prioritisation skills

Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Knowledge of customs procedures is essential
