Machine Operator - Materials

Responsible for operating shredders and grinders that process industrial plastic. In the completion of these tasks, the machinery must be prepped, continuously fed material, and cleaned in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities Perform 5S and other housekeeping duties required for a safe and clean working environment. Follow all safety standards and procedures. Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for assigned jobs as directed. Feed material into a shredder. Log weights of full boxes into production logs. Follow formulation card to mix ingredient batches for the injection moulding process. Ensure that material is correct and sufficient for each production shift. Collect any unused material after every production run and place material back in stock. Perform job site cleanup including collection of all tools, equipment and material. Ensure that all tools and equipment are returned to their proper place in a clean and secure manner daily. Perform all other duties as required by the needs of the department. Collaborate effectively with team members both within and across departments. Cooperate with supervisors and co-workers. Follow all company’s procedures and protocols. Follow the company’s safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
