Prime Care Ltd is seeking to recruit an Activity Coordinator on a part-time basis. You will play a key role in enriching the lives of our residents by creating meaningful, engaging, and person-centred activities that promote independence, wellbeing, social inclusion, and enjoyment. You will be responsible for developing a vibrant programme of recreational, therapeutic, cultural, and social activities that encourages residents to remain active, connected, and fulfilled.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, compassionate, energetic, and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older adults.

Main tasks, amongst others, include:

Resident Engagement
- Build positive relationships with residents and take the time to understand their interests, hobbies, life experiences, abilities, and individual preferences.
- Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of engaging activities that caters to residents with different physical and cognitive abilities.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing.
- Support residents living with dementia through meaningful and stimulating activities that encourage reminiscence, interaction, and independence.
- Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, cultural events, seasonal celebrations, and religious occasions to create a warm and inclusive community.
Activity Planning
- Develop and maintain a creative annual activity calendar that includes daily, weekly, monthly, evening, and weekend activities.
- Organise both in-house activities and external outings, ensuring appropriate transport and supervision arrangements.
- Complete and maintain risk assessments for all external activities and outings.
- Regularly evaluate the success of activities and adapt the programme based on resident feedback and participation levels.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Maltese and English.
Be computer literate and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
A caring, compassionate, and patient approach.
Creativity and enthusiasm in planning engaging activities.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
The ability to motivate and encourage participation.
Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life of older persons.
