Main Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out general manual labour and maintenance duties around the residence.
Carry out basic preventive maintenance and report any defects, damages or maintenance requirements.
Assist with minor repairs and general upkeep of the property.
Assist with painting, basic decorating and other maintenance works as required.
Move furniture, equipment, materials and other items when necessary.
Maintain outdoor areas, including general cleaning, sweeping and removal of waste or debris.
Assist with basic gardening and external maintenance duties when required.
Clean and organise work areas, storage areas, garages and external spaces.
Prepare areas before maintenance or repair works and clean the areas once works are completed.
Dispose of waste and unwanted materials appropriately.
Follow all health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Maintain the privacy, confidentiality and security of the residents and property at all times.
Perform any other reasonable duties related to the upkeep and maintenance of the residence as instructed by the employer.

Requirements

Previous experience in general labour, maintenance, construction or a similar practical role is considered an advantage.
Ability to carry out physically demanding duties, including lifting and moving materials.
Sound knowledge of hand tools and general maintenance work.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Reliable, responsible and punctual.
Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
Ability to work respectfully and discreetly within a private residential environment.
