Costing and Planning Coordinator

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs by preparing and maintaining accurate standard and product costing;
• Conduct variance analysis between actual, budgeted, and forecasted costs, identifying trends and providing recommendations to improve performance;
• Analyse sales performance, product profitability, revenue, volumes, and key performance indicators across products, customers, and distributors;
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, production forecasts, and cost projections;
• Support production planning by ensuring resources and forecasts align with operational and customer requirements;
• Collaborate closely with the Production, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate planning and reporting;
• Prepare regular management reports, providing meaningful insights into production performance, costs, and operational efficiency;
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and profitability;
• Maintain accurate costing and planning data to support business decision-making;
• Perform other related duties as required to support the finance and production functions.

Experience

• Previous experience in production costing, manufacturing, production planning, or a similar analytical role;
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production cost drivers;
• Experience within a food manufacturing or food production environment will be considered an asset;
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
