Controller - Finance

Malta International Airport plc is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual who is passionate about working with people within an Airport environment, is willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Finance Department. Purpose of Position: The overall purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the Head of Financial Controlling & GRC in the preparation of the management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, cost and revenue control, risk management and a reliable governance and compliance framework. Main Responsibilities Management Reporting, Planning/Forecasting, Financial Analysis:

• Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts
• Management reporting incl. CAPEX reporting (Value of Works, Costs, Cash-out, Timelines)Monitoring of updating of accruals for OPEX & CAPEXBudgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the SVPs/Heads of Department
• Monthly budget control in collaboration with the SVPs/Heads of Department including analysis of cost control, assessment of revenue and cost savings
• Working Capital management & analysis
• Financial analysis of projects carried out from time to time
• Improving existing financial control instruments and reporting
• Other:
• Support in GRC, namely Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Compliance issues
• Support insurance process
• Support update process of policies & procedures
• Assisting Financial Accounting in closing off the accounts and preparation of financial statements for MIA and subsidiaries
• Representing Finance in Committees
• Understanding company accounting policies and applying them consistently
• Be an ambassador to Malta International Airport's values including Service Excellence, Teamwork and Integrity.

Requirements The ideal candidate should:

• preferably have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or ACCA qualificationshave minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting and controllingbe proficient in accounting software (e.g. Microsoft Business Central, Oracle, Sage)have excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Power-BI)have experience in budgeting & forecasting processeshave experience in project work and monitoringhave in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirementshave strong analytical and problem-solving skillshave excellent communication and interpersonal skillslike to work in a teambe able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
