Our client is looking for an Accounts Officer to work on-site at their client’s offices, supporting the Lead Accountant with the day-to-day accounting function. As the client continues to expand, they are looking for someone who can provide a reliable and regular presence within the office.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Lead Accountant with day-to-day accounting activities and maintaining accurate records.
Monitor aged receivables, follow up on outstanding balances and handle credit chasing mainly via email and customer statements.
Reconcile sales, customer balances and transactions between the sales and accounting systems.
Issue and post sales and purchase invoices, ensuring correct coding and VAT treatment.
Post and allocate customer receipts and payments, as well as assist with supplier payments.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with control account reconciliations.
Maintain organised accounting records and provide general support to the Lead Accountant.

Requirements

A Level in Accounts or equivalent would be required an asset
Previous local experience in a similar accounting role
Basic understanding of VAT principles & familiarity with Sage is considered an asset
Mature, reliable and organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Benefit: Flexible working hours

Note: The role is ideally offered on a 20-hour-per-week basis. The advertised salary (EUR 25,000) reflects the full-time equivalent and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the agreed working hours.

Training will be provided on the company's systems and processes.
