Cost Controller

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the Finance team in a role focused on monitoring operational expenditure and ensuring the accuracy of supplier accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments and international suppliers to verify charges, investigate discrepancies and ensure that payments are processed in line with agreed commercial arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine supplier invoices and supporting documentation, checking that charges are accurate and properly substantiated.
• Reconcile billed amounts against contracts, purchase records, operational data and internal systems.
• Monitor expenditure relating to fuel, ground handling, airport services, cargo operations, transportation and other business activities.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, follow up on queries and coordinate the resolution of outstanding supplier claims.
• Track pending credit notes and ensure that adjustments are reflected correctly in financial records.
• Prepare reports and analyse expenditure patterns to highlight inconsistencies and potential savings.
• Work alongside Finance, Procurement, Operations and Logistics to improve cost-monitoring procedures.
• Assist in implementing standardised controls and more efficient invoice-processing practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in finance, accounts payable, procurement, logistics or a similar environment would be beneficial.
• Ideally a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Supply Chain or a related discipline
• A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate issues, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
