We are looking for a Frontend Team Lead to lead our frontend team of 8 engineers. You will report to the Head of Engineering and be the line manager for the team, responsible for its delivery, ways of working and growth. You will work closely with our two Frontend Architects, who own the architecture and technical direction.

This role needs senior (L5) engineering depth. You will stay close to the code and decide where your hands-on skills help the team most.

This is a full-time hybrid position in our Tallinn office(4 days in-office, 1 day remote per week).

About the Role

People management

Act as line manager for all members of the frontend team: hold regular 1:1s, resolve emerging issues, and keep the team environment healthy and productive.
Help your team grow: run performance reviews, coordinate Personal Development Plans, and support engineers' career progression.
Appoint Feature/Development Leads and form development groups for specific features and epics.
Take part in hiring: define team needs, interview candidates and onboard new engineers.

Delivery & ways of working

Protect the team's focus: manage incoming requests, reduce unnecessary context switching, and make sure questions reach the right people.
Work with Product Owners and the Delivery Manager on the product roadmap, and make sure open questions are resolved before a task reaches the team.
Estimate planned work, or delegate estimation, and help break large initiatives into smaller deliverable tasks.
Own and continuously improve the team's engineering practices, such as code review culture and how the team collaborates.
Monitor the team's product and delivery metrics (e.g. abnormal reject rates) and act when they drift.
Represent the team in cross-team meetings and assess the capacity needed to deliver initiatives.

Technical partnership

Work closely with the Frontend Architects to align the team's work with the technical roadmap, including tech debt and architectural initiatives.
Make sure the team follows the development guidelines, standards and tooling the Architects define.
Stay hands-on where it matters most: contribute to development, code reviews or bug fixing on complex and business-critical tasks, and coach others to raise the bar.
Help keep production quality and availability high, including taking part in on-call rotations and incident follow-ups.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with senior-level (L5) depth in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
Strong hands-on expertise in Angular and RxJS, and experience working on large-scale Angular applications.
2+ years of experience leading an engineering team, including mentoring, supporting engineers' growth and owning team delivery.
Proven experience with planning, estimation, task decomposition and working with Product and Delivery roles.
Experience building and running high-traffic consumer-facing web applications (gaming, iGaming, e-commerce, finance or similar).
Solid understanding of web performance, testing practices, CI/CD and supporting production systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. We are an international team, and our shared language is English.

Experience in the iGaming domain (casino, sportsbook, real-time data, payments).
