About the Role

Healthmark Care Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Supervisors to provide leadership, coordination and operational oversight across our Supervisory team.

The Head of Supervisors will act as the key link between the Supervisors and the Operations Manager, ensuring consistency, accountability and high standards of service delivery across Healthmark's various operations.

In addition to overseeing the Supervisory function, the role will have direct responsibility for the private care portfolio, including live-in and live-out services. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, carers and internal teams to ensure continuity of care, client satisfaction and the successful growth of the private sector.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an individual who is confident managing people, resolving operational challenges, building client relationships and driving high standards across a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Leadership of Supervisors
- Lead, coordinate and support Supervisors across Healthmark's various entities and service areas.
- Provide direction, guidance and support to Supervisors in managing their teams and daily operations.
- Monitor Supervisors' performance and ensure clear accountability for service delivery.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures and operational standards.
- Act as the main escalation point for Supervisors regarding operational matters.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily service delivery across assigned areas, ensuring that staffing, rostering and operational requirements are effectively managed.
- Monitor staffing levels and proactively identify and address operational gaps.
- Support the resolution of operational issues and minimise disruption to services.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on operational planning, service improvements and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure effective coordination between Supervisors and other internal departments.
Private Care Services – Live-in and Live-out
- Take overall responsibility for the coordination and management of the private care portfolio.
- Oversee client assignments and ensure carers are appropriately matched to client requirements.
- Monitor service continuity, quality and client satisfaction.
- Address client and carer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Ensure private care services are delivered in accordance with company standards, contractual obligations and care requirements.
- Monitor the performance and suitability of carers assigned to private clients.
Client Relations and Business Development
- Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective private clients.
- Respond to client enquiries and provide information regarding Healthmark's care services.
- Conduct initial client assessments and coordinate the set-up of new services.
- Build strong and professional relationships with clients and their families.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand the private care portfolio.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition into service.
Quality, Compliance and Service Standards
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Healthmark's quality standards, policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety requirements and applicable care regulations.
- Conduct regular operational checks and follow-ups to ensure service quality.
- Identify areas of concern and implement corrective actions where required.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality care.
Performance, Reporting and Communication
- Monitor and review operational performance across the Supervisory team.
- Ensure accurate records and reporting are maintained.
- Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager on operational performance, staffing, service issues and client matters.
- Ensure effective communication between Supervisors, management, carers, clients and other departments.
- Identify trends and recurring operational issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Staff Leadership and Development
- Support Supervisors in managing employee performance, attendance, conduct and operational concerns.
- Coach and mentor Supervisors to strengthen their leadership and management capabilities.
- Identify training and development needs within the Supervisory team.
- Promote teamwork, accountability and a positive working environment.
- Lead by example and promote Healthmark's values and standards across the organisation.
Process Improvement
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes, systems and operational initiatives.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency and client experience.
- Support management in implementing operational changes across the organisation.

Candidate Profile

An experienced people leader with a strong background in operations, healthcare, care services or a related environment.
Confident managing and coordinating multiple teams and priorities.
Strong in problem-solving and decision-making.
Highly organised, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure.
A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and client-management skills.
Comfortable dealing with both staff and clients at different levels.
Able to demonstrate accountability and take ownership of operational matters.
Customer-focused, with a strong commitment to service quality.
Flexible and willing to take a hands-on approach when required.

Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory, management or operational leadership role.
Experience managing teams within a healthcare, care, hospitality, facilities or service environment will be considered an asset.
Experience in private client management or home-care services would be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of operational procedures, staff management and service delivery.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational systems.
