Position Overview

An experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager is sought to take a leading role in the delivery of large-scale finishing and construction projects. The position involves overall responsibility for site operations, project performance, team leadership, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead and manage Site Supervisors across multiple projects while taking overall responsibility for site execution, productivity, quality, and progress.

The role includes planning and coordinating manpower, resources, and site activities, ensuring works are executed according to project programmes, drawings, specifications, and established company standards.

Responsibilities also involve monitoring project performance, identifying potential delays and operational issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring the effective sequencing and coordination of finishing works.

The Senior Project Manager will coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, consultants, and other trades while overseeing project mobilisation, execution, snagging, and final handover.

The candidate will also mentor Site Supervisors and site teams, provide clear project reporting and escalation, and contribute to the continued development and effectiveness of project execution teams.

Requirements

Candidates should have proven senior-level experience in construction site or project management, including experience managing multiple sites and teams.

A qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related field will be considered an advantage.

Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and coordination skills are required, together with an excellent understanding of construction programmes, site operations, and finishing works.

Candidates must have knowledge of the Maltese language and hold a valid EU driving licence, both of which are compulsory for this position.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a hands-on, results-driven approach and be capable of managing complex projects effectively under pressure. Previous experience with a finishing contractor or large-scale interior construction projects will be considered a strong advantage.
