Position Overview

A detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Assistant is sought to support quality and food safety standards within a food manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the role involves working closely with production teams to ensure products and manufacturing processes consistently meet established quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will carry out production line start-up checks, sample and measure products during production, and verify that finished products conform to established specifications and quality standards.

The role includes monitoring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ensuring procedures are correctly followed, and performing basic analytical tests, with relevant in-house training provided.

Responsibilities also involve verifying compliance with HACCP requirements and supporting the effective implementation of food safety and quality procedures throughout production operations.

Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum O-Level standard of education, with preference given to applicants who have studied Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related subjects.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, computer literacy including Microsoft Office, effective communication skills, and strong attention to detail are required.

The ideal candidate should be a reliable team player who can also work independently, demonstrate initiative, and remain flexible according to production requirements.

A valid Food Handlers Licence B is required. Candidates must also be flexible regarding working hours, as production line start-up checks may occasionally require shifts beginning as early as 4:00 a.m.
