Lead Yoga & Pilates Instructor

Island Yoga is Malta's leading multi-studio company, with four studios covering a wide range of yoga disciplines, pilates, reformer, aerial practices and kids' classes, alongside a teacher training academy running both international and local courses. Alongside our public timetables we run workshops, retreats, teacher trainings and private one-to-one programming. We are a studio with range, and we are looking for a teacher who has range to match.

The Role

As Lead Yoga & Pilates Instructor, you will teach across both disciplines while taking ownership of how our offering runs day to day. This is a senior, teaching-first position with real responsibility for the quality and coherence across all of our spaces.

You will report directly to the studio owner and studio manager, and work closely with our teaching team.

What you'll do

Teach a weekly load of yoga and reformer Pilates classes to a consistently high standard
Oversee the timetable across all five studio spaces: scheduling, cover, balance of styles and levels
Support, mentor and develop our teaching team, including class observations and feedback
Contribute to and help deliver teacher training programs, workshops and immersions
Shape our class offering: new formats, seasonal programming, course and workshop development
Maintain teaching standards, studio protocols and equipment care across yoga and reformer spaces
Work with the owner on studio growth, retention and community building

What We're Looking For

Essential

500-hour yoga teacher training certification (Yoga Alliance registered or equivalent recognised body)
Comprehensive Pilates certification — reformer and mat; a full apparatus qualification is a strong advantage
Minimum 2 years’ professional teaching experience in a studio environment
Demonstrable experience leading or teaching on teacher training programs
Management experience - teams, timetables, or studio operations
Multi-disciplinary qualifications and a genuinely broad teaching vocabulary
Excellent spoken and written English - you will be teaching, mentoring and communicating with an international clientele
Eligibility to work in Malta or willingness to relocate
