Sportsbook & Casino | UK Market | Fully Remote

We are looking for an experienced MLRO to take ownership of the AML and financial crime function for a growing UK sportsbook and casino operator.

The business combines decades of experience within the British betting industry with a relatively young and growing digital operation.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll work closely with senior management and have genuine influence over how the AML function continues to develop.

What You’ll Be Doing

Act as MLRO and take ownership of AML and financial crime matters
Maintain and continuously develop the AML/CTF framework
Oversee CDD, EDD, customer risk assessments and SOF/SOW processes
Review suspicious activity and manage SAR processes where required
Oversee and improve transaction monitoring and player risk controls
Maintain AML risk assessments, policies, procedures and documentation
Advise senior management on AML and emerging financial crime risks
Ensure ongoing alignment with UKGC requirements and regulatory expectations
Work closely with compliance, payments, fraud, responsible gambling and operations
Support regulatory interactions, audits and reviews
Provide AML reporting, guidance and training across the business

What We’re Looking For

Strong UK iGaming experience, and an active UK PML license is essential.

Ideally, you will have:

Previous MLRO, Deputy MLRO or senior AML/financial crime experience within online gambling
Strong knowledge of the UK Gambling Commission regulatory environment
Experience within online sportsbook and/or casino
Strong practical knowledge of CDD, EDD, SOF/SOW, transaction monitoring and SARs
Excellent judgement and the confidence to challenge and escalate when required
A hands-on, pragmatic approach and the ability to work independently
Experience within a smaller operator or growing digital business would be highly advantageous
