Audit Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and firm policies. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and excellent client service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement Management: Plan, coordinate, and lead audit engagements from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and client communications.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff and seniors, providing feedback and supporting their professional development.
Quality Assurance: Ensure audit work is compliant with auditing standards (e.g., ISA, PCAOB, or relevant jurisdiction) and internal quality control procedures.
Technical Review: Review financial statements, audit reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client contacts; act as the primary point of contact during engagements.
Risk Management: Identify audit risks and develop appropriate responses; resolve complex accounting issues and escalate when necessary.
Reporting: Present audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management in clear, concise terms.
Business Development: Assist in proposal development, presentations, and other initiatives to attract new clients or expand services to existing clients.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in audit, with at least 1–2 years in a managerial role.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting frameworks (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP).
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
