Estimator

Desana Marbles is seeking a full-time Estimator to prepare accurate measurements, material calculations, quotations and cost estimates for marble, granite and related stone fabrication and installation projects.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing quotations and estimates for marble, granite and related stone fabrication and installation works.

Main duties include:

• Reviewing architectural drawings, plans and customer specifications.
• Taking and verifying site measurements where required.
• Calculating material quantities, slab requirements and expected wastage.
• Estimating labour, fabrication, transport and installation costs.
• Preparing accurate quotations and cost breakdowns.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, workshop employees and installation teams.
• Maintaining accurate records of estimates, quotations and project costs.
• Assisting management with pricing and monitoring project profitability.

Requirements

• Previous experience in estimating, preferably in marble, granite, stone fabrication or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Good numerical, organisational and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English.
