Site Architect – Job Description

Our suite of services ranges from concept and design through to implementation, adopting premium, durable materials and products sourced from our extensive network of longstanding suppliers.

The Group’s multidisciplinary approach enables us to successfully deliver complex projects by combining the expertise and competencies of our distinct disciplines to develop holistic solutions across workspaces, flooring and acoustics, building materials, architectural space planning, restoration and conservation.

We are seeking to recruit a Site Architect on a full-time, indefinite basis to join and strengthen our team of professionals in view of ongoing and newly awarded projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Updating architectural and technical drawings as required, including preparation of drawings and measurements for procurement purposes and setting out on site prior to the commencement of works.
Conducting daily site supervision and monitoring the progress and development of site works.
Preparing regular reports on site progress and liaising effectively with all parties involved in the project.
Coordinating and participating in client meetings, site meetings and conference calls, as required.
Overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of different phases of projects.
Monitoring project progress, managing variations, setting team deadlines and evaluating overall project performance.
Ensuring that projects are completed within the agreed timescales and allocated budgets.
Identifying, addressing and resolving emerging problems and issues in a timely and constructive manner.
Identifying potential risks, delays or issues and communicating these promptly to the relevant members of the project team.
Providing ongoing support to the wider project team to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
Performing any other job-related duties as may be reasonably assigned by the Company.

## Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

A **Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field**, or an equivalent qualification.
A minimum of **three years’ relevant working experience**.
A valid **warrant to practise architecture**, which will be considered an asset.
Previous experience within the **commercial sector**, which will be considered an asset.
Previous experience working on **historic buildings or sites**, particularly within restoration and conservation, which will be considered an asset.
Proficiency in **Microsoft Office**, including **MS Project**, as well as **AutoCAD (ACAD)**.
Good knowledge of project processes, quality control, cost management and other techniques aimed at maximising efficiency and ensuring effective project delivery.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
A strong eye for detail, together with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
A positive and professional attitude towards work.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in **Maltese and/or English**.
A **valid driving licence**.
