Welding Steel

Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding as required Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications Prepare, cut, and assemble metal components Inspect welds for quality, strength, and defects Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces Follow workplace health and safety procedures Measure and position materials accurately Repair and reinforce metal structures and components Maintain a clean and organised work area

Competencies

Check dimensions, shapes, welds; perform finishings/ adjustments/alterations in case of alignment/deformation mistakes
Determine assembly process and necessary materials based on instructions, technical files...
Place and mark structural elements, weld and assembly spot
Set cutting and forming tools and cut or shape elements (profiles, pipes, panels...)
Register production and quality monitoring data (malfunctions, interventions...)
Take down measurements and dimensions on materials and perform necessary outlines
Assemble support structures (scaffold, braces, platform...)
Set up, place and do final assembly of structure on site (truss, bedplate...)
Work with materials: stainless steel
Assemble and fasten structural elements according to assembly plans and directions
Prepare or assemble items: heavy support structures
Make mould (in wood, metal) and detailed drawing of structural element
Do welding work following process: autogenous gas welding
Calculate price for welding work
