About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Industrial Laundry Working Supervisor to join our busy facility in Malta. This is a hands-on role where you will not just supervise, but actively work alongside our Production team. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and providing immediate support to the staff whenever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on production: Operate industrial laundry machinery (washers, dryers, flatwork ironers) and actively participate in the daily workload alongside the team.
Team leadership: Guide, motivate, and coordinate the laundry staff during shifts, ensuring productivity targets are met.
Troubleshooting: Act as the primary problem-solver on the floor, quickly addressing workflow bottlenecks, minor mechanical hiccups, or unexpected situations.
Quality control: Inspect processed linen to ensure it strictly meets our quality and hygiene standards before dispatch.
Health and safety: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, ensuring all staff follow safety protocols.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven experience working specifically in an industrial laundry facility.
Leadership skills: Previous experience as a Shift Leader, Lead Operator, or Supervisor is highly desirable.
Problem-solving: A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to handle pressure and resolve issues effectively.
Communication: Fluency in English is required to communicate safely and efficiently with our multicultural team (knowledge of Italian or Maltese is a strong advantage).
Physical stamina: Ability to perform manual labor in a fast-paced and physically demanding industrial environment.
