Full-Time Head Merchandiser

The head merchandiser is responsible for managing and coordinating the merchandising team, ensuring that all merchandising activities are well planned, efficiently executed, and maintained to a high standard across all outlets.

Main Responsibilities

Manage, support and coordinate the merchandising team on a daily basis.
Prepare and organise the team’s monthly schedules, plans and priorities.
Conduct regular team meetings and briefings on monthly plans, promotions and objectives.
Ensure all merchandisers are properly briefed, supported and equipped to carry out their duties.
Monitor the team’s performance and ensure agreed tasks and targets are completed.
Ensure all planograms are up to date and correctly implemented across all relevant outlets.
Ensure shelves are properly maintained, organised and fully aligned with agreed brand standards.
Coordinate the installation, maintenance and upgrading of shelving, displays and branding materials.
Conduct regular store checks to ensure merchandising standards are being maintained.
Identify issues in stores and coordinate with the relevant internal teams or customers to resolve them.
Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure promotions, new launches and visibility activities are properly executed.
Ensure merchandising activities are well planned, organised and completed within agreed timelines.
Provide regular feedback and updates to management regarding team performance, store executions and any issues requiring attention.
Ensuring that there is satisfactory coverage of outlets by keeping leave and sick leave schedule updated.

Applicants are required to be fluent in both Maltese and English, possess excellent interpersonal communication, be customer focused, have an outgoing personality, be computer literate and possess a clean driving licence and own transport.

Experience in a similar position is ideal, but not essential, since training shall be provided.
