Responsible for providing a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop. They support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development by planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, encouraging positive behaviour, and fostering meaningful relationships. Child care workers supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing, assist with daily routines such as meals, toileting, rest, and hygiene, and promote healthy habits. They observe and document children's progress, communicate regularly with families about their child's development and daily experiences, and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality early childhood education programs.
