The Carpenter is responsible for carrying out carpentry works related to construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wooden structures, furniture, fittings, and fixtures according to project specifications and drawings.
Carry out carpentry works for construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
Install doors, frames, partitions, flooring, cabinets, shelves, and other carpentry elements.
Repair damaged wooden structures, fittings, and furniture as required.
Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and project plans.
Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure works are completed according to quality standards, project timelines, and safety regulations.
Liaise with supervisors, contractors, and other construction team members to support project completion.
Maintain clean and organised work areas and ensure proper care of tools and materials.
Identify material requirements and report shortages or damaged equipment to supervisors.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Support other construction and maintenance duties when required.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Carpenter within construction, hospitality, or maintenance projects.

Good knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and woodworking tools.

Ability to read technical drawings and construction layouts.

Skilled in the use of hand tools, machinery, and power tools.

Good attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.

Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work.

Basic understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Verbal communication in English is required; Maltese or Italian is considered an asset.
