Storekeeper

We are currently looking for a Storekeeper to join our team!

Core Responsibilities

• Receiving and verification: Unload deliveries, check quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or expiration dates.

• Inventory control: Monitor stock levels, track fast-moving items, and notify management to reorder before stock-outs occur.

• Storage and organisation: Organise stockrooms, freezers, and cold rooms safely. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

• Stock rotation: Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods to prevent spoilage and waste.

• Issuance: Fulfil requisitions to restock supermarket shelves accurately and promptly.

• Auditing: Conduct regular partial and full physical inventory counts to reconcile with the Point of Sale (POS) or ERP system.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in warehouse or inventory management, ideally in grocery or retail.

• Physical ability: Must be able to lift heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs) and spend long periods on their feet.

• Technical skills: Proficiency with inventory management software, spreadsheets, and basic math.

• Certifications: Must be in possession of a valid driving licence.
