Due to the continued growth of our litigation practice, we are currently seeking to recruit an Associate / Junior Associate, to join our litigation team.

The Job

The selected candidate will be expected to carry out all Litigation-related duties, including but not limited to:

Conducting initial case investigations and assessments to determine legal strategies and case viability
Participating in pre-litigation settlement negotiations to resolve matters efficiently
Drafting and filing court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Collecting, reviewing, and analysing written witness statements for evidentiary value
Representing clients in alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration
Applying legal knowledge and precedent to argue cases persuasively
Performing additional tasks and legal research as assigned by the Partner or Managing Associate

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

A Degree in Law
Admission to the Maltese Bar
A minimum of three years’ experience, with a background in court practice
Excellent communication skills with a strong command of both Maltese and English (written and spoken)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines independently
