We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our busy Bistro Style Restaurant in Malta. The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, maintain high food quality standards, and lead the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen management.
Supervise and train kitchen staff.
Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and kitchen hygiene.
Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with food safety and HACCP regulations.
Help develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
Experience in a bistro, Mediterranean, or European-style restaurant.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy service.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage.
