The Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of wooden fixtures, fittings, and furniture across our hotel properties, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are always maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out repairs, adjustments, and installations of doors, windows, frames, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures and fittings
Repair and restore furniture across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to specification
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns reported by housekeeping or front office
Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify and address carpentry-related issues proactively
Ensure all work is carried out safely, neatly, and with minimal disruption to guests
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Keep accurate records of work carried out and materials used
Work closely with the wider Maintenance team on planned refurbishment and upkeep projects

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment
Strong practical skills in carpentry and joinery, with a good understanding of general building maintenance
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple tasks
A keen eye for detail and finish quality
Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
Basic English communication skills
