Head of Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Head of Maintenance to oversee and carry out maintenance operations, ensuring that building facilities, equipment and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard.

The role involves hands-on repair work as well as coordinating and supervising maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily maintenance and repair work, including plastering, electrical repairs and general building maintenance.
• Ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of facilities, rooms, public areas, kitchens and technical installations.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate external contractors and specialist service providers when required.
• Manage maintenance materials, tools, equipment and related costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Lead, organise and supervise the maintenance team.
• Monitor work progress and ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance or technical role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong practical experience in plastering and electrical work.
• Previous experience in team leadership or supervision.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritise tasks.
• Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
