Our client, a well established finance organisation providing comprehensive accounting services, is currently seeking a Senior Client Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

What is expected of you?

Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial record keeping.
Prepare management accounts and financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Oversee bookkeeping activities for assigned clients, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
Ensure full compliance with Maltese VAT legislation, including the timely submission of VAT returns and related declarations.
Provide expert advice on accounting and VAT matters to clients, addressing their queries effectively.
Liaise with auditors and other external stakeholders, facilitating smooth audit processes and information exchange.
Mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to their professional development.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.

What are you expected to bring?

Possess a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or an equivalent.
Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in a client accounting role, preferably within a professional services firm in Malta.
Exhibit strong knowledge of Maltese VAT legislation and compliance requirements.
Be highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Show excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, effectively managing multiple client deadlines.
Possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with clients and colleagues.
