Job Description
The Packer is responsible for inspecting, preparing, and packaging finished products, goods, or orders accurately and efficiently for storage or shipment.
Order Inspection & Sorting: Receive items from production or picking lines, verify order accuracy against pick sheets or digital orders, and inspect products for surface defects or damage. Packing & Wrapping: Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, bubble wrap, poly mailers, crates), securely pack items to prevent damage in transit, and seal packages cleanly. Labeling & Shipping Prep: Print, attach, and verify shipping labels, barcode stickers, fragile tags, and destination details accurately. Weight & Dimension Checks: Weigh packed boxes/parcels and log dimensions into the shipping or warehouse management system (WMS) as required. Station Cleanliness & Stock Maintenance: Keep the packing area organized, clean, and stocked with packaging supplies (boxes, tape, fill material, labels) throughout the shift. Safety & Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety standards, operate tape dispensers or automated sealing machinery safely, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
