Maintenance Person

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the safe, functional, and efficient operation of buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Routine & Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of buildings, HVAC units, plumbing systems, lighting, doors, and hardware to identify and fix issues before they lead to breakdowns. Repairs & General Upkeep: Perform basic electrical repairs (replacing bulbs, switches, sockets), plumbing fixes (unclogging drains, repairing leaks, replacing washers), carpentry, dry-wall repair, and touch-up painting. Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment or structural malfunctions, determine the root cause, and execute repairs or report major failures to external specialized contractors. Grounds & Exterior Care: Maintain exterior pathways, clear drainage grates, check perimeter security, and perform minor outdoor repairs or pressure washing as needed. Tool & Inventory Management: Maintain and clean hand tools, power equipment, and testing meters; track spare parts inventory and request stock replacements promptly. Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to occupational safety standards, building codes, and hazardous chemical protocols; use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all operations. Work Order Logging: Receive, track, and complete daily maintenance work orders, logging completion times, parts used, and notes in the facilities management system.
