General Cleaner

The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness across assigned commercial, corporate, residential, or public facilities.

Routine Cleaning & Sanitization: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors; dust and sanitize furniture, fixtures, counters, door handles, light switches, and electronic equipment in accordance with hygiene standards. Restroom Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and tiled surfaces; replenish essential supplies (toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels) and ensure drainage grates remain clear. Surface & Glass Care: Wash windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and polished surfaces using proper glass cleaners and lint-free microfibers to ensure streak-free finishes. Waste & Trash Disposal: Empty, sanitize, and reline trash cans, recycling bins, and organic waste receptacles daily; transport waste safely to designated disposal areas. Floor & Carpet Care: Operate basic and commercial floor maintenance equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, auto-scrubbers) and spot-clean carpet stains. Chemical & Equipment Handling: Safely handle, dilute, and store commercial cleaning chemicals according to COSHH / SDS safety data guidelines; maintain cleaning carts, tools, and equipment in good working order. Stock & Inventory Reporting: Monitor cleaning chemical levels, paper products, and cleaning equipment; report low stock or damaged machinery to the supervisor promptly. Compliance & Safety: Follow all workplace health and safety protocols, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and display safety hazard signs (e.g., wet floor signs) during cleaning operations.
