We are looking for an experienced and proactive SEO Specialist to support the organic growth of NetBet Romania.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the local SEO strategy, improving organic visibility and traffic, and identifying new opportunities across both Casino and Sports Betting. This role requires a strong combination of technical SEO knowledge, content optimisation skills, analytical thinking and a good understanding of the Romanian digital market.

The SEO Specialist will work closely with the Acquisition, Content, Development, Product, Design and Analytics teams, as well as with external SEO partners.

📋 Your Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the SEO strategy for NetBet Romania, aligned with the company’s acquisition and business objectives.
Monitor organic traffic, keyword rankings, visibility, conversions and other relevant SEO KPIs.
Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities across Casino, Sports Betting, promotional and informational content.
Optimise existing landing pages, category pages, promotional pages and editorial content.
Prepare SEO content briefs based on search intent, competitor analysis, keyword data and user needs.
Coordinate the creation, optimisation and publication of SEO content in Romanian.
Perform regular technical SEO audits and work closely with Development and Product teams to implement recommendations.
Identify and monitor issues related to crawling, indexing, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, structured data, page speed and Core Web Vitals.
Support website migrations, releases and new page launches from an SEO perspective.
Analyse competitors and market trends to identify organic growth opportunities.
Develop and monitor internal and external linking strategies.
Collaborate with Digital PR and external partners on link-building and authority-building initiatives.
Ensure that SEO recommendations comply with local gambling regulations, responsible gaming requirements and brand guidelines.
Create regular SEO performance reports, providing clear insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations.
Maintain and prioritise the SEO roadmap and related development tickets.
Stay informed about Google algorithm updates, emerging search trends and developments in AI-driven search.

💼 What You'll Bring:

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience.
Strong knowledge of technical, on-page and content SEO.
Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and keyword research or SEO monitoring platforms such as Semrush, Ahrefs or similar tools.
Good understanding of search intent, content architecture and internal linking.
Ability to analyse data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
Experience working with CMS platforms, preferably WordPress and/or headless CMS solutions.
Basic understanding of HTML, metadata, canonical tags, redirects and structured data.
Strong organisational and project-management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Native or highly proficient Romanian.
Strong written and spoken English.
Attention to detail, ownership and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

Previous experience in online gaming, sports betting, casino, affiliate marketing or another highly competitive digital industry.
Experience with website migrations or large international websites.
Familiarity with tools such as Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, BigQuery, Jira and Confluence.
Understanding of CRO, UX and how organic traffic contributes to registrations, first-time depositors and revenue.
Experience managing external SEO agencies, consultants or content contributors.
