We are supporting an innovative client in the iGaming sector that is expanding its engineering team and seeking an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to help build scalable, high-performance gaming technology used across international markets.

This opportunity suits a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building modern backend systems, and working in a fast-moving product environment.

The Role

You will play a key part in designing and developing robust backend services that power next-generation gaming products. Working alongside Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams, you will contribute to delivering new features, system improvements, and long-term platform scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Build, enhance, and maintain Java-based backend services and distributed systems
Develop scalable microservices for high-traffic environments
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions
Create clean, efficient, and testable code following engineering best practices
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Troubleshoot issues and improve existing systems
Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous product evolution

Required Experience

Strong professional experience with Java (and Spring Boot)
Proven background in building enterprise-grade software products
Solid understanding of microservices architecture
Strong database knowledge across MySQL / PostgreSQL environments
Experience with real-time or transaction-critical systems
Strong English
Previous experience within iGaming
Cloud platforms experience
