Job Description

Our client is a growing B2B consultancy supporting SME Forex & CFD businesses with their end-to-end commercial, marketing and operational requirements.

They are now looking for a commercially driven Performance Marketing Lead to take ownership of the marketing function, with a strong focus on ROI, customer acquisition, affiliate growth and P&L management.

This is not a traditional brand marketing role. The ideal candidate will come from a performance-driven B2C environment, where marketing investment is closely linked to measurable acquisition, revenue and profitability.

You will report directly to the management and lead a team of four across performance marketing, creative/social and related marketing activities.

The role also offers significant exposure to Product, with the opportunity to influence product improvements, customer journeys, gamification and new growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Performance Marketing Lead, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Performance & Growth Marketing

Own the overall performance marketing strategy across two B2C-facing brands.

Develop and execute acquisition strategies focused on ROI, CAC, LTV, conversion and revenue growth.

Manage marketing budgets and ensure investment is allocated against the highest-performing channels and opportunities.

Establish clear performance targets, reporting structures and KPIs across the marketing function.

Analyse campaign performance and continuously optimise acquisition activity.

Identify new channels, markets, audiences and growth opportunities.

Work closely with the senior leaders to develop and execute the wider growth strategy.

P&L & Commercial Ownership

Take ownership of the marketing P&L, including budgets, spend allocation and overall marketing profitability.

Monitor marketing expenditure against revenue and business performance.

Make commercially driven decisions around channel investment, acquisition costs and expected returns.

Build business cases for new marketing initiatives and assess their potential ROI.

Present marketing performance, financial results and growth opportunities to senior management.

Ensure marketing activity is directly connected to wider commercial objectives.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage a team of 4 across marketing, performance, social and creative functions.

Set clear objectives, KPIs and priorities for the team.

Build a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, experimentation and measurable results.

Mentor and develop team members while maintaining a high standard of execution.

Allocate resources according to commercial priorities and business needs.

Create efficient workflows between performance, creative, social, affiliate and product teams.

Creative & B2C Marketing

Work closely with creative team members to develop acquisition-focused campaigns and marketing assets.

Ensure creative output is aligned with target audiences, campaign objectives and performance data.

Use performance insights to continuously improve advertising creatives, messaging and customer journeys.

Understand the relationship between creative, conversion and acquisition performance.

Bring a strong understanding of B2C consumer behaviour and what drives engagement and conversion.

Product & Customer Experience

Work closely with the Product team to identify opportunities for improving acquisition, conversion and retention.

Use customer and marketing data to identify friction points across the user journey.

Contribute to product improvement initiatives from a growth and commercial perspective.

Explore and implement gamification mechanics that can improve engagement, activation and retention.

Partner with Product to test new features, customer journeys and growth initiatives.

Bring marketing and customer insights into product development discussions.

AI & Emerging Technologies

Identify opportunities to use AI tools and automation to improve marketing efficiency, content production, customer segmentation, analysis and campaign optimisation.

Experiment with emerging AI-driven marketing technologies and workflows.

Encourage the wider team to adopt tools that improve productivity and decision-making.

Stay ahead of developments across AI, performance marketing, automation and digital customer acquisition.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, digital acquisition or a similar commercially focused role.

Strong background in a B2C environment where marketing performance and ROI are measurable.

Proven experience managing significant marketing budgets and making investment decisions based on performance.

Strong understanding of CAC, LTV, ROI, ROAS, conversion rates, attribution and acquisition funnels.

Previous experience leading and developing marketing teams.

Experience with P&L or budget ownership.

Strong analytical and commercial mindset, experience working closely with Affiliate programes, trading campaigns in Fintech, crypto or retail trading spaces.

Comfortable working closely with Product, Commercial, Data and Creative teams.

Strong understanding of digital acquisition channels and performance marketing.

Ability to turn data and customer insights into actionable growth initiatives.

Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
