Safety Manager

The Safety Manager/QHSE position is essential for ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards during the shipyard services undertaken with our client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Represent the company in his technical capacity.
• Prepare and maintain records, reports and correspondence relating to safety standards in the workplace.
• Organise and participate in the assessment of existing safety programmes and policies, review accident/injury reports and compile accident/injury-related statistics.
• Coordinate various activities, including scheduling work assignments, monitoring the work of junior employees and setting clear priorities.
• Inspect machinery, equipment and tools used in the workplace, as well as the entire worksite, in order to identify possible unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with other parties, supervisors and workers in the shipyard to ensure the implementation and observance of safety standards and protocols.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or as provided in the working manual.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

**Minimum Educational Qualifications:**

• Must be in possession of relevant safety training.
• Must possess work experience as a QHSE/Safety Manager or Safety Officer.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal.

**Experience Required:**

Must have at least a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Safety Officer in a shipyard or other heavy industries.
